Phil played his college football for Dan Devine at the University of Notre Dame from 1978 to 1982 and graduated with a degree in business finance as well as earning All American Honors on the football field.
Phil was the fifth round draft pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 1982, and a regular started at the offensive tackle, from 1984 until 1988. He crushes the myth that football players are anything less then brilliant.
Since his retirement from professional football Phil has been involved in primarily in real estate, finance and sales. Currently Phil works for EVX Labs developing electric vehicles.
Phil has been married to his High School sweetheart, Kimberly, since 1982. Together they have two sons Maxim and Nicholas who are both at University. The elder Maxim is completing his bachelors degree in the esteemed radio television and film school at the University of Texas at Austin. The younger son Nicholas is studying English at the University of North Texas and regularly performs his comedic repertoire at the Back Door Club in Dallas Texas as well as other local and national venues.
Phil is a card carrying member of the John Birch Society, the former treasurer of the Dallas Chapter of National League Football Players Association, member of the North Texas Electric Automobile Association, and considers himself a member of the Campaign for Liberty, the Ron Paul revolution.
